- Check inventory levels in the cage and email material request spreadsheet to the assigned people for all material needed at plant 2 based on the Min/Max levels to be kept in the cage area.
- Check inventory level of coil in the cell and move shift needs to the floor with the forklift.
- Maintains and provides an effective cycle counting process based on a daily schedule provided by the Production Control Supervisor. In addition to any communication between the Material Handler and the production floor about a negative will require a cycle count immediately. Parts Shortage list that will be provided daily by the Master Scheduler will also add to the daily cycle count log, anything in Yellow or Red will be counted the following morning.
- Performs all inventory adjustments daily once approval is provided by the Production Control Supervisor and/or Logistics Manager.
- Coordinates all cycle counts and inventory checks through the Production Control Supervisor, Master Scheduler, Logistics Manager and Business Unit Manager.
- Assures the accuracy of transactions for all interdivisional transfers of material.
- Scan/Split and put away all material brought to the cage from the Warehouse. Set down/ split tag anything needed in the lower rack locations.
- Maintain and straighten the entire cage location (Actively performs 5S); Make sure raw components are being taken out by Material Handlers are being performed by using the FIFO procedure.
- Provide Service with components as needed (List is provided by tech, raw components are pulled from cage area, split out by demand, items are scanned to the cell location and you are responsible to take them to the service area)
- Check the UPS/FedEx rack daily for any in-bound material. Receive any material in the system and put away in the cage location.
- Monitor container inventory of H&H returnable; Coordinate the return of H&H containers back to the main warehouse.
- Remove all empty pallets and skids from the cage to the designated area outside of the shipping area using the forklift.
- Provide Material Handlers support during downtime by splitting material into containers for 4 hours of production runs.
- Fill in as a backup for Material Handler in their absence on 1st shift if needed.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Production Control Supervisor and/or Logistics Manager.
- Must actively support our Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, immediately report all dangerous situations and correct them when able to do so safely, participate in all required Safety Training, meetings, inspections and use all required PPE.
