Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Trainer role based in Hastings, NE. The Technical Trainer will design, deliver, and update training programs on industrial engines and related systems for dealer service technicians, and OEM partners. Daily responsibilities include preparing training materials, conducting classroom and hands-on sessions, demonstrating diagnostics and repair procedures, and documenting training outcomes. The role also involves collaborating with product specialists and service teams to keep training content current with manufacturer updates, safety standards, and best practices. The Technical Trainer will provide ongoing support, answer technical questions, and help build a consistent, high-quality learning experience across the distribution network.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical training roles, including work as Technical Trainers and in Technical Training functions.
- Background in Training & Development, with the ability to design and implement structured training programs.
- Strong Communication and Training skills for delivering clear, engaging instruction to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of diesel and industrial engines, with hands-on experience in diagnostics, maintenance, or repair.
- Ability to create instructional materials such as manuals, presentations, and training guides.
- Comfort with using computer-based training tools and standard office software.
- Attention to safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, education, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training sessions and schedules.
- Prior experience in OEM support, industrial equipment, or engine distribution is beneficial.
