We’re looking for a skilled Toolmaker to build, repair, and modify precision tools, fixtures, gauges, machine attachments, and other complex components that keep manufacturing operations running. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining work, solving technical problems, and producing high-quality work to exact specifications in a fast-paced shop environment.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Diagnose and repair tooling, fixtures, and machine-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain production readiness.
- Set up, program, and operate a variety of machine tools and grinding equipment to produce highly precise parts and components.
- Rebuild, install, align, and calibrate tooling, machines, and attachments using drawings, specifications, and precision measuring instruments.
- Own the quality, dimensional accuracy, and safety of assigned work while supporting continuous improvement and, when needed, guiding apprentices.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Completion of a Tool and Die Maker Apprenticeship.
- Strong knowledge of machining practices, production machines, tooling, fixtures, shop math, and metal properties.
- Ability to read complex drawings and specifications and use precision measurement tools to ensure exacting quality standards.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
