Duties
- Clear and reset tables swiftly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests accurately and promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Assist servers with food running, supporting smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and organizing utensils and condiments.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, boxes of supplies, or trash removal following safe lifting practices.
- Support in basic food handling and safety procedures to uphold health standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure guest needs are met efficiently.
- Assist with general cleaning duties including bussing tables, sweeping floors, and maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food handling procedures is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous for processing orders or payments.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations like serving, food running, and guest services enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- A friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for all guests.
