Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and track the total care of each patient, adhering to protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of patient history, including diagnostic tests, medications, vital signs, daily weights, and fluid intake/output.
- Monitor and evaluate patients’ responses to treatment plans, adjusting care as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain charts, reports, and logs to document treatment outcomes.
- Observe and communicate patient symptoms and conditions to physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
- Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure checks, injections) and update patient charts.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Inspect the facility to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.
- Provide immediate medical care during emergencies.
- Create a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
- Expand professional knowledge through workshops, conferences, and training sessions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid RN nursing license
- Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with colleagues and vendors
- Adherence to confidentiality, compliance, and harassment prevention policies
- Completion of mandatory compliance training and Code of Conduct requirements
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to move throughout the workday, including frequent bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching
- Ability to stand, walk for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 25 pounds
- Infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Frequent pushing, pulling, and transporting of residents
- Ability to cope with mental and emotional demands of the position
- Work indoors with some exposure to noise, odors, chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens
