Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Caregiver (live in) to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs and observing changes in condition
- Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies
- Use specialized equipment to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive atmosphere
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement personalized care plans and report any concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring procedures
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
- Experience with Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like wheelchairs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability in caregiving roles
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications related to nursing or social work is a plus
