What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Servicing Specialist position at Huron Community Bank?
BASIC PURPOSE:
Provide general support and secretarial services, as directed.
PRINCIPAL ACOUNTABILITIES:
- Services customers in a courteous, efficient & professional manner; maintains a professional working relationship with co-workers.
- Performs general loan account maintenance and responds to customer inquiries.
- Performs Hazard, Flood and Private Mortgage Insurance Disbursements from customer escrow accounts.
- Ensures that insurance coverage is in force for all mortgage, personal and credit line loans, follows up on deficiencies.
- Assembles, prepares, sorts, scans insurances and other complex documents being converted to electronic/digital format.
- Prepares and forwards for recording Discharges of Mortgage and Terminations of Lien within acceptable time frames.
- Researches and settles unposted consumer and mortgage loan payment transactions.
- Verifies new loan data entry transactions for consumer and mortgage accounts for compliance purposes and promptly addresses out of compliance situations.
- Performs mortgage payoff reporting for all Freddie Mac mortgages within specified timeframes and within Freddie Mac guidelines.
- Performs assigned monthly reporting and/or billing as directed (i.e. Enact Milar Reporting, Factual Data billing, etc.)
- Assists the lead in all functions of the annual mass escrow analysis.
- Maintains accessible filing system for active and closed real estate and consumer loans. Adheres to retention policy guidelines.
- Performs general filing tasks and assists in maintaining loan storage areas.
- Maintains tickler system to assure follow-up, recording and returning of all pertinent documents.
- Provide assistance and function in a backup capacity to the counterpart Loan Servicing Specialist role and other areas of the Loan Department as needed. Cross training for backup support is common and anticipated and can include extended training in other areas within the Loan Department that have not been included in this job description.
