SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches students academic, social, and motor skills following guidelines set by State of Illinois law and board policy. Create and teach lessons for skill-based studies including studying, notetaking, independent enquiry, self-evaluation, goal setting, time management, effective communication, and critical/creative thinking. This position will also include case management of IEPs with executive functioning-based goals that can be addressed through resource class curriculum.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree; one to two years related experience and/or training preferred. Must hold an appropriate valid Illinois Professional Educators License with appropriate LBS1 Endorsement. Ideal candidate will have co-teaching experience, a passion for skill-based studies, experience in writing IEP goals, and an ability to lead IEP meetings.
