Position Overview
Huntington Learning Center is seeking a passionate K-12 Academic Tutor to join our team in Round Rock! In this role, you will help students grow in essential reading, writing, and math skills. You’ll have the opportunity to work one-on-one or in small groups, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and elementary to middle school math, covering topics like number sense, fractions, word problems, and pre-algebra. This is an ideal opportunity for educators who thrive in a dynamic environment and love building academic habits that set students up for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalized instruction in reading, writing, and math
Support students in developing strong skills in areas like vocabulary, grammar, spelling, and math fluency
Assist students with school readiness and study strategies
Implement curated lesson plans designed to meet individual student needs
Create an encouraging, student-centered learning environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
Experience teaching or tutoring K-12 students in reading, writing, and math
Ability to teach both reading/writing and fundamental to intermediate math concepts
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about engaging with students of all ages
