Job Summary
DEFINITION Under direction from an assigned supervisor, assists and supports certificated teachers in a variety of caretaking, instructional, and classroom tasks; arranges and implements behavior intervention therapy and modification activities outlined within student Individual Education Programs (IEPs); prepares summary reports, therapy notes and student records; maintains grade and attendance records; performs related work as required.

This is an Open and Promotional recruitment. To fill positions at sites including but not limited to Special Abilities Cluster at Edison HS, Inclusion Program, and Adult Transition Program; and to create an eligibility list for future vacancies.
This is a continuous examination and Personnel Commission Rule 4230.12 is in effect:
4230.12 Continuous Examinations
B. Applications shall be accepted every day or until sufficient applications are received. Examinations shall be given as the need arises.
In accordance with Personnel Commission Rule 4240.1.D, the eligibility list will be valid for six months and used for future vacancies throughout the District during that time span.
Final selection of appointees will be made from the top three ranks who are “ready and willing” to accept an assignment. Personnel Commission Rule 4240.1 F: When fewer than three (3) ranks of available eligible candidates remain on an eligibility list and the appointing authority has requested certification of additional eligible candidates, the list may be terminated by the Personnel Director. In order to obtain Veterans' preference of 5 points, service must be in accordance to Personnel Commission rule 4230.6.A or updated law. Please attach DD214 Form to your application.
