Position Summary
Performs case management with clients who have a severe and persistent mental illness. Group Therapy for clients with severe and persistent mental illness.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Facilitates Group therapy.
2. Case Management and care coordination for assigned clients.
3. Insurance verification and authorization.
4. Management of therapeutic milieu.
5. Accurately and completely documents client contact.
6. Maintains JCAHO standards and DMHAS, Medicaid, and HBH policies and regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
High School Diploma and some college credits if hired 12/31/1999 or earlier
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field if hired 1/1/2000 or later
Preferred:
None
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required: None
Preferred: 2 Years of experience with client with severe and persistent mental illness
License, Registry or Certification:
Required: None
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Knowledge of the DSM-5
Clinician demonstrates knowledge of evidenced based practices in the provision of care included but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Universal Screening for SUD.
Preferred:
De-escalation Techniques, Group Therapy expertise
