Forensic Accountant Overview:
The role of a Forensic Accountant is critical in examining and interpreting complex financial data to uncover discrepancies, ensure accuracy, and support legal or investigative efforts. This position involves reviewing financial records, analyzing company operations, and identifying risks or irregularities.
Certified Public Accountant Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze company financial statements, revenue trends, cash flow reports, debt obligations.
- Analyze the corporate structure and operations to ensure accurate accounting of all income and expenses; identify anomalies or gaps.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, legal and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent future financial controls.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings, if required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting; CPA or CFF preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in forensic accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Experience with legal proceedings and providing expert testimony is a plus.
