Project Manager

A general contractor specializing in commercial construction in Verona, PA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role is responsible for overall project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors while mentoring internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of commercial construction projects, including preconstruction, estimating support, procurement, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, GMP contracts, change orders, and monthly financial reporting.
• Oversee project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved and proactively mitigating risks to timeline or budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Manage subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, and performance oversight.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Lead project meetings, including owner meetings, OAC meetings, and internal coordination sessions.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; provide strategic problem-solving and decision-making leadership.
• Support business development efforts, including participation in interviews, proposals, and client presentations.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in commercial construction project management
• Proven track record managing ground-up and/or complex tenant improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (lump sum, GMP, design-build).
• Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Primavera P6).
• Strong financial acumen, including cost control and forecasting experience.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; experience may substitute for degree.
