Responsibilities:
- Cleaning kennels, crates, and training areas
- Assisting with daily dog care and kennel operations
- Supervising and safely handling dogs
- Assisting trainers with training sessions and exercises
- Feeding, potty rotations, and monitoring dog health/behavior
- Helping with enrichment activities and structured play
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment
- Learning dog behavior, handling skills, and training fundamentals
- Supporting Day Camp and Board & Train operations
Requirements:
- Prior dog handling or dog training experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable handling large, energetic, and occasionally reactive dogs
- Reliable transportation
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Hunter Canine Dog Training is hiring a full-time Day Camp Trainer in Wilmington, Delaware. We are looking for an experienced and motivated dog trainer who is passionate about producing life-changing results for dogs and their owners.
Our Day Camp program is one of the most successful programs in the area and focuses on obedience, socialization, confidence building, manners, neutrality, and real-world behavior transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Leading structured Day Camp training sessions
- Working with dogs on obedience, manners, neutrality, and socialization
- Safely handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Conducting structured play and supervised socialization
- Creating positive experiences while maintaining accountability and structure
- Communicating with clients during pickup/go-home lessons
- Providing educational updates and progress reports
- Maintaining training standards and safety protocols
- Supporting Board & Train dogs and facility operations as needed
- Representing Hunter Canine professionally both in person and online
Requirements:
- Professional dog training experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and handling
- Experience with balanced training methods preferred
- Comfortable working with reactive, fearful, and high-drive dogs
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills
- Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership qualities
