Our client, a global buy-side financial services organisation with a diverse portfolio of businesses, is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance function. Essential:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related subject.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within financial accounting or reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Advanced Excel skills with confidence manipulating and analysing large datasets.
- Experience with various accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across multiple group entities, ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end adjustments to support timely reporting.
- Assist in producing statutory accounts and management reports in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Work closely with auditors and external stakeholders by providing financial information and supporting documentation.
- Review accounting processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, controls and reporting quality.
- Investigate financial discrepancies, reconcile complex transactional data and maintain the integrity of accounting records.
- Partner with internal teams to improve reporting workflows and support finance transformation initiatives.
