The role:
My client are looking for a knowledgeable Data Center Engineer to join their team.
You will be based on site at a Data Center location in New Jersey, providing all round Data Center based support for an enterprise environment.
The role will involve shift work: 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm on a Saturday (5 days shift within this).
The successful candidate will have either an Associates or Bachelors degree.
Core responsibilities:
- Racking
- Cooling
- Power distribution
- Patching
- Cabling
- Moves and Changes
- Hardware troubleshooting / Break-Fix
- New hardware installation
- Decommissioning
- Inventory management
Experience required:
- Ideally 5-10 years experience working within Data Center environments
- Flexibility to work the required shifts
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- Good all round Data Center knowledge around the duties above
- Understanding of Linux desirable
