We are seeking an experienced Hazard Mitigation Project Manager with 10–15 years in hazard mitigation or disaster recovery to lead FEMA-funded projects such as the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA). This role ensures that projects meet client goals, comply with regulations, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple large-scale hazard mitigation projects from application through closeout.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, FEMA, state agencies, and internal teams.
- Lead development of scopes of work and Benefit-Cost Analyses (BCAs).
- Identify eligible projects using risk assessments and post-disaster evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with FEMA regulations including 44 CFR, 2 CFR Part 200, and the Stafford Act.
- Monitor procurement, budget reconciliation, financial reporting, and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance on mitigation design, floodplain mapping, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement, public meetings, and client support sessions.
- Maintain audit-ready project records using project management software.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 10–15 years of experience in hazard mitigation or disaster recovery.
- At least 8 years of staff management experience.
- Proven record managing FEMA-funded projects (HMGP, FMA).
- Strong regulatory knowledge and project leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in a related field.
- FEMA BCA certification, PMP, CFM, or similar credentials.
- Experience with GIS or HAZUS-MH is a plus.
- Full-time, exempt position.
