Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Systems Administrator to join our team. This full time position has opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge in our Information Technology department.
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for all technology used at Hunt Electric including inventory control and operations. You would be responsible to organize, install, and support the organization’s computer systems including phones, servers, and all user devices. Local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems knowledge would be preferred.
Major Duties:
- Ability to maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
- Replace defective components when necessary. Perform and evaluate needed network upgrades and maintenance.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Plan for disaster recovery and other backup contingencies and diagnosis and troubleshoot hardware, and software problems.
- Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting assistance for corporate users.
- Provide software application tier 1 and tier 2 support for core systems.
- Provide specialized one-off project support for on-going IT initiatives.
- Integrate with other IT staff and provide support and technical expertise.
- Be a team player and be results focused.
- Work effectively with multiple end users and be customer service oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure, within deadlines, in a complex demanding environment.
- General Experience in networking: TCP/IP, LAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, WAP
- Extensive knowledge with AD, email (Outlook), cloud technologies, Windows, printing services, Microsoft Office products, Windows, VMware, remote administration, and RAID.
- Experience in software: Microsoft Office, CAD software, and OneDrive, Adobe, and other software.
- Experience with operating systems: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012,2019,2022, Android, and IOS.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Ability to exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment.
- Minimum Experience: 2 years’ experience in hands on IT system’s support role.
- Preferred skills and Certifications: CompTIA: A , Security , Network , server .
- Bachelor's degree (preferred) in related field or equivalent experience and/or certifications.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
