Job Title: Transportation Associate
Location: Springdale, AR 72762
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift: Flexible schedule; exact hours will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be available all 7 days to be considered.
Position Summary:
This is an entry-level management role designed to train and prepare individuals for success in fleet operations. The associate will work closely with experienced supervisors to gain hands-on knowledge across various transportation departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in daily dispatch operations including coordinating drivers, covering unassigned loads, and ensuring on-time deliveries
Monitor driver safety and handle issues that arise outside normal business hours
Rotate through key transportation functions (load planning, shuttle, and regional operations) to understand the full scope of operations
Serve as dispatcher on weekends and during day/night shifts as needed
Support special projects and tasks assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor//'s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience
Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus
Skills:
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, Email)
Strong verbal and written communication
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of leading others
Flexible availability, including weekends and variable shifts
