Work environment is in non-conditioned spaces both outside and inside with exposure to humidity, cold and heat.

Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
- EPA Universal certificate or ability to get an EPA refrigerant handling and usage certificate within 6 months of hire.
- Must have ability to clear a criminal background check along with a drug test administered upon employment and be subject to random drug testing
- Knowledge of inventory software such as SchoolDude.
- Knowledge of barcode equipment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting, purchasing, and accounts payable, processes, and procedures.
- Skill in providing inquiring users with outstanding customer care and service at all times.
- Skill in the use of keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, Financial/Inventory systems, Windows Operating System, and G-Suite applications (Gmail)
- Skill in conducting reconciliation, reviewing account balances, and generating reporting.
- Skill in using proper telephone etiquette and customer service techniques in a fast, friendly, and flexible manner.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers, team members and vendors.
- Ability to critically think in detecting, analyzing and resolving inventory and procurement related problems.
- Ability to identify and organize tickets according to priority and process orders to appropriate support personnel.

- Three (3) or more years’ experience in warehouse operations preferred, with a background in material handling, purchasing, and stock control.
- Experience work setting in a large maintenance department preferred
Maintenance & Operations/Support:
- Request, obtain quotes, receive, process and distribute equipment and supplies.
- Conduct self-audits of items and establish reorder points for purchasing & stocking efficiencies and be prepared for annual audit performed by District’s Internal Audit Department.
- Research and analyze product and pricing information to ensure cost efficiencies.
- Manage inventory to ensure adequate levels of equipment and supplies are maintained.
- Manage the receipt of all shipments. Process receiving, discrepancies, and damaged parts reports as needed. Call vendors for copies of invoices when necessary.
- Transport inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including fork- lift, pallet jack, and handcart.
- Load and unload delivery trucks by hand, pallet jack or forklift.
- Deliver items received by the tool room to proper personnel or department on a daily basis.
- Establish, communicate and adhere to sign in/sign out procedures for equipment, trailers and tools.
- Maintain the inventory module of the SchoolDude work order system for entering, maintaining inventory levels and establishing reorder points.
- Initiate procurement requests to maintain proper stocking levels and fulfill special supply and equipment needs.
- Reclaim refrigerants from drinking fountains and R-22 tanks.
- Research, quote, submit, order, track, and receive all parts and supply requests made by Operations & Maintenance personnel & supervisors on a daily basis.
- Maintain and organize warehouse and outside bays and storage areas for safety, efficiency and cleanliness.
- Initiate and maintain safety and fire prevention equipment within the warehouse as prescribed by law and school policy.
- Perform job duties and operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Must adhere to all guidelines set forth on MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) when handling chemicals.
- Must wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when performing any task, which could cause injury or illness.
- Take necessary action immediately and report any condition(s) that could cause injury or illness.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing, etc.
- Must wear district issued uniform while at work.
- If you accept the $100 district voucher for Safety shoes, you will be required to wear safety shoes throughout the work shift. Safety shoes shall provide steel toe protection and have a slip resistant sole. If an employee terminates employment with Humble ISD prior to 90 days, he/she will have the $100 (voucher for safety shoes) deducted from the final paycheck.
