About the role
We're seeking relief veterinarians who believe that how you treat people is just as important as how you treat patients. This isn't a fill-the-shift arrangement. We get to know each vet individually and match them to independently owned practices based on working style, communication preferences, and culture fit.
If you lead with respect for your patients, their owners, and every member of the clinic team, we want to talk.
What you'll do
- Provide high-quality relief veterinary care at independently owned private practices across Oregon
- Collaborate respectfully with technicians, support staff, and clinic leadership
- Communicate proactively before, during, and after shifts
- Represent yourself and Humanivet with professionalism and integrity

- A genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Respectful, collegial communication with all clinic staff regardless of role
- Self-awareness about your clinical strengths and comfort working within your scope
- Reliability, punctuality, and clear follow-through
- Adaptability to varied clinic environments and workflows
Minimum qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted Oregon veterinary license
- Professional liability insurance
- DEA registration (or willingness to obtain)
- Relief or independent practice experience preferred
