HumanEdge is seeking a Lead Accounting Analyst with 4–7 years of experience and advanced Excel skills to support a healthcare client. This role will focus on P&L reporting, month-end close, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Job Description:
- Perform and assist with day to day operational accounting and monthly close process
- Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned areas of responsibility
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations, review journal entries and conduct financial statement analytics
- Drive continuous improvement and reduce cycle time in the monthly close process through the increased utilization of technology and tools, development of standard operating procedures and other efficiency measures
- Support preparation and distribution of monthly accounting management reports and statistical analysis
- Conduct detailed P&L reviews / analysis
- Collaborate with and support external auditors for annual audit
- Strengthening the company’s internal control environment and control processes.
- Business partnering with corporate, and operations staff to facilitate variance explanations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Credentials/Skills:
- In Office / 5 days per week
- 3-7 years accounting experience; CPA or MBA preferred
- Takes initiative and demonstrates intellectual curiosity
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting policy
- Ownership of accounting operational processes and experience with automation of operational processes
- Advanced Excel skills required with knowledge of SAGE 100 accounting systems a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, timeline management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment across multiple geographies
- Requires strong leadership skills to guide teams and facilitate collaboration
- Ability to engage peers from across the organization and direct/indirect reports
