What You'll Do
What You'll Do
- Create and post biweekly payroll journal and analyze all payroll related accounts
- Maintain fixed asset system and posting of monthly depreciation expense
- Coordinate all credit card processing and terminals at 3 locations
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
- Supervise two people
- Review and analyze balance sheet accounts, making adjustments and corrections as necessary, including reconciliation of subsidiary systems to the general ledger:
- Fixed assets to GL
- Raiser's Edge to GL
- Construction in process
- Capital budget to GL
- Utilizes and update the electronic accounting filing system (Docuware)
- Maintain the Accounting Procedures manual, coordinating updates as needed
- Document and review internal controls in coordination with CFO on an ongoing basis
- Assist in various analyses and projects, including budget preparation
- Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules
- Serve as a back-up for payroll processing
- Support gift shop operations and inventory
- Be a part of the 150 legacy of the Humane Society of Missouri
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least three years general accounting experience
- Some supervisory or lead experience required
- Experience with Microsoft-Business Central is desired
