HSMO's Longmeadow Rescue Ranch is looking for a Lead Equine Care Specialist. Come join us in caring for rescued horses and other farm animals! This position will help lead other employees and can be great experience to qualify for a supervisory position.

Responsibilities Include
- Monitoring and checking the work of other employees and ranch volunteers
- Performing proper care for all animals at the ranch, including feeding and watering, and turning horses out to pasture
- Adherence to established feeding, sanitation, medical procedures
- Assisting and restraining animals for our veterinarian and farrier
- Keeping records about animals in our computer system
- May drive a trailer containing a horse or other animal
- The successful candidate must have professional horse handling experience including halter training and socializing
- Have or be able to obtain a Class E driver's license
- Horse hauling experience
- Great people skills are needed in addition to animal skills!
- Experience with other farm animals is desirable
- Should be proficient in personal computing skills (Word, Excel, email and Internet)
- Prior lead or supervisory experience would be a plus.
