Description of Position:

The Direct Support Coordinator for house 310 provides guidance, support, and coordination of services to help individuals live the life they desire by working toward their goals, dreams, and aspirations, while ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being.
Position Details:

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week; Monday–Friday

Shift: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

On-Call: Participation in an on-call rotation as assigned

Job Knowledge and Comprehension:

Advocates for people supported by protecting their rights and ensuring necessary supports and services are secured.

Serves as a liaison between people supported, families, guardians, and agency staff.

Provides leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, agency policies, and procedures.

Collaborates with individuals supported and Direct Support Professionals to ensure all necessary supports are provided; may include providing direct care when needed.

Ensures staff complete all required training in accordance with ARSD rules and agency requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned consistent with exempt-level responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
The employee frequently is required to sit and work extended periods of time at a computer monitor. Occasionally, this position may require lifting that exceeds 50 pounds during medical emergency situations and/or behavior support. Job requires bending, stooping, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling, and driving a vehicle.
Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years' experience working with people with Disabilities is preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
The Board of Directors of the Human Service Agency shall have the prerogative to hire staff whose qualifications may vary from the above. This position requires access to Electronic Personal Health Information (EPHI). Current HSA Policies and Procedures apply.
