Schedule: 15-20 Hours/Week
Department: Global Marketing and Communications
Date: Sept 21 to Dec 10 (12 weeks, part time)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Human Appeal USA is accepting a placement to assist the Department of Global Marketing and Communications. This is a hybrid position with some in-person activities both in Washington, DC and in Fairfax, VA. The intern will work closely with our team to further the mission of Human Appeal USA through advocacy and communications, including, but not limited to, the following:
Contribute to research projects and profile through expanding digital real estate, writing, research and analysis, and engagement with various stakeholders.
Support coordination and operation efforts for various activities and tasks.
Participate in internal & external meetings and write internal memos or blogs for website.
Event support for summer advocacy activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Learning Outcome: Intern will gain invaluable grassroots advocacy, communications and events experience, as well as insight into NGO federal advocacy, government affairs, coalition building and media relations. Intern will also learn about the work and functions of other divisions within our organization including Marketing, Volunteer, and Programs.
This is a paid internship opportunity, including a stipend for transportation expenses.
