Job Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading commercial construction projects from award through closeout while delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining profitability, and supporting Hulse Construction's commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. This role oversees all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, customer communication, and financial performance.
The Project Manager works closely with field leadership, estimating, and executive leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to Hulse Construction's quality standards.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and forecasts while monitoring project performance and profitability.
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, and other project documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to support successful project execution.
- Procure materials, issue purchase orders, and manage subcontractor agreements and project resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders through consistent communication and professional service.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, billings, change orders, cost control, and risk management.
- Monitor project schedules, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Promote a culture of safety by supporting company safety programs and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Ensure projects meet quality expectations by coordinating inspections, resolving punch list items, and overseeing project closeout.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the company.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5 years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Extensive experience managing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or related specialty trades preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OST/Quick Bid and Plexxis.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
