Job Overview
Hulse Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the successful execution of commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, plaster, and specialty ceiling projects throughout Arizona. The Senior Project Engineer serves as a key member of the project management team by coordinating project documentation, subcontractor and vendor communication, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, and field support from project award through closeout.

Duties
- Coordinate all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, transmittals, change orders, and closeout documents to ensure timely project execution.
- Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Procure materials and equipment by coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
- Track project costs, review invoices, monitor labor productivity, and assist in preparing monthly financial forecasts and owner billings.
- Participate in project meetings, maintain meeting minutes, and communicate effectively with general contractors, field personnel, and vendors.
- Support field operations by conducting regular jobsite visits, assisting with issue resolution, coordinating inspections, and ensuring project milestones are achieved.
- Collaborate with Superintendents to identify and resolve constructability issues, scheduling conflicts, and material shortages.
- Assist in preparing and pricing change orders, documenting scope changes, and maintaining accurate project records.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, company standards, and quality control requirements.
- Promote and support Hulse Construction's safety culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies while participating in jobsite safety initiatives.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch list completion, warranty documentation, as-built drawings, and final turnover to the client.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3-7 years of commercial construction project engineer experience, preferably with a drywall or specialty constractor.
- Extensive experience managing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or related specialty trades.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OST/Quick Bid and Plexxis.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
