The Meat Cutter plays a crucial role in keeping the meat department fully stocked and visually appealing, adhering to safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines. This position requires the operation of meat-cutting equipment with a focus on quality, cleanliness, and organization, as well as assisting customers with product selection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, grind, and prepare meat according to customer specifications and company standards.
- Provide custom cuts to meet specific customer requests.
- Package, weigh, label, and price meat products accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure proper rotation and storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Keep the meat department fully stocked and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Adhere to safety, sanitation, and temperature guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Operate meat-cutting equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining all equipment in good working order.
