What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapy Aide Part Time position at Hughston Clinic?
Position Goal
Perform designated routine tasks related to the operation of the occupational therapy service and may assist with patient related activities which are pre-determined for each patient and assigned by the Occupational Therapist.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapists in service delivery for therapeutic exercise and wound care.
- Responsible for maintaining/cleaning clinic equipment and workstations.
- Responsible for inventory and ordering clinic supplies as needed.
- Assist in administrative clinic duties such as answering phone, scheduling appointments, OSHA record keeping, reporting, filing, reviewing/completing insurance paperwork etc.
- Responsible for the coordination/flow of patients while in the hand clinic.
- General cleaning of equipment used in OT services.
Experience:
Required:
- None.
Preferred:
- Experience in health care setting and medical terminology.
Education:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Special Qualifications:
Required:
- May require working at multiple locations.
- Valid Drivers License and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) may be required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Must have basic computer and office equipment experience.
