Role Description
The Project Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Lincoln, NE or Omaha, NE, responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for engineering and control systems integration projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope documents, quantifying materials and labor, and developing detailed estimates and proposals. The role involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, business development team, and vendors to obtain pricing, validate assumptions, and ensure estimates align with technical requirements and company standards. The Project Estimator will also assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities, evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, and supporting budgeting efforts throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires maintaining organized records of estimates, updating cost databases, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes. Serve as a centralized expert in industrial preconstruction.

- Strong cost-focused skills, including Cost Management, Budgeting, and experience tracking and forecasting project financials.
- Proficiency in Construction Estimating and Project Estimation, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Experience with estimating or project management software and strong Excel skills.
- Preferred experience in engineering, industrial automation, construction, or control systems integration environments.
- Ability to analyze data, identify risks, and develop realistic assumptions for time, materials, and labor.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
