What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Estimator position at HUF Construction LLC?
We are a growing commercial construction company looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs
- Prepare detailed estimates and project budgets
- Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Prepare proposals and bid submissions
- Track revisions, addendums, and scope changes
- Work closely with project managers and field teams
- Identify scope gaps and potential cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain organized estimating and bid documentation
Qualifications:
- Previous construction estimating experience required
- Strong ability to read and understand commercial construction plans
- Knowledge of labor, materials, and construction methods
- Experience with estimating/takeoff software is preferred
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
Experience estimating commercial carpentry, metal framing, drywall, flooring, tile, painting, and general construction scopes is a major plus.
We are looking for someone who is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $20,000 - $70,000
