Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping activities
- Support the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures
- Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use excavators and other construction equipment under supervision for site preparation and landscape installation projects
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools effectively
- Familiarity with landscaping construction processes such as hardscape installation and site preparation
- Ability to handle hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools safely and skillfully
- Experience operating excavators or similar machinery is a plus for larger projects
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to perform snow plowing during winter months when necessary
- Good physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
