About the Role (Career Pathway)
All new hires begin as a Teaching Assistant in our small-group piano program (6–10 students, ages 6–14). During this paid training period, you’ll learn our curriculum, student engagement model, and classroom systems.
As you grow, you can advance into:
- Assistant Teacher (co-teaching select elements of class)
- Lead Teacher (full classroom leadership)
- Optional private students if desired

What You’ll Do
- Support and teach small-group piano lessons using our structured curriculum and technology
- Keep students engaged with clear directions, positive energy, and simple transitions
- Track progress and communicate briefly with families
- Participate in recitals, studio challenges, and seasonal events
- Progress from TA → Assistant → Lead Teacher as you demonstrate group leadership
Must-Haves
- Experience working with children or teens (schools, camps, tutoring, church, etc.)
- Clear, concise communication and reliability
- Openness to learning our systems and technology
- Willingness to begin in the TA role and grow with coaching
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Prior group teaching or classroom leadership experience
- Familiarity with piano learning apps (Piano Express, Piano Marvel, Piano Playground or similar learning platforms)
Schedule
- Weekdays: 4–7pm (choose 2–4 consistent days)
- MANDATORY Saturdays: 10am–2pm
- Paid training and onboarding included
Compensation & Growth
- Starting TA rate: $20/hr
- Lead Teacher pay: $40/hr for groups · $30 per 30-min private

Teaching Demo Prompt: Teach a beginner concept to a small group of children (ages 6–10). Mock lesson to the camera is completely fine. Topic options include:
- Letter names on the keyboard
- Steady beat and/or simple rhythms
- Notes (sound) vs. rests (silence)
- C five-finger scale or pattern
Show clear directions, pacing, and how you would keep multiple kids engaged.
