Salary Range: G19.5 $32.18 - $38.99 Hourly
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of IT Field Service Technician. Primary Function: responsible for providing support and maintenance of computer systems, networks, audio & visual, peripheral equipment in our branch network, operations centers, and some regional events. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, general computer systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and audio & visual (AV) issues.
- Provide training & support to staff and contractors.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, peripherals and AV systems.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Resolve complex and escalated technical problems related to network connectivity, software applications, and hardware components.
- Use advanced tools, techniques and applications to remediate issues.
- Assisting with server administration tasks, such as patching, updating, and monitoring
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, troubleshooting steps, and equipment configurations in the service ticketing system.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient resolution of support requests.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, including quarterly visits to locations to review and update the technology landscape
- Work with vendors to install technology and resolve and escalate technical problems on vendor systems and hardware.
- Set up and operate audio and video equipment for events, meetings, and presentations.
- Participate in all required and recommended training including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrates attained knowledge. Actively pursue and satisfactorily complete development plans.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required
- Valid driver’s license required
- A certification, MSCE, industry PC and networking certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 Years Job related experience required
