Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association’s (HVCPA) Early Childhood Center has provided services to the Putnam County community for over 15 years. A community staple, the Early Childhood Center is a childcare program licensed by the Division of Child Care Services (DCCS) of NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) based in Brewster, NY.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Teaching Aide role located in Brewster, NY. The Teaching Aide will assist the lead teacher in classroom activities, support students in their daily learning, and foster a positive and inclusive teaching environment. Responsibilities include helping children with assignments, maintaining an organized and engaging classroom, and assisting in monitoring and maintaining a safe and supportive space for all children.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with students and educators.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience or knowledge in teaching or supporting educational activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in a childcare setting.
- Flexibility, patience, and a caring attitude towards children' individual needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is beneficial but not required.
