What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHARMACY TECHNICIAN position at Hudson Regional Hospital?
Duties:
Assists pharmacists in dispensing and filling medication orders.
Fills unit-dose med carts on a daily basis for 24 hour fill.
Assists pharmacist in IV room when assigned.
Performs daily rounds at timnely intervals to distribute medications to all units/departments.
Transports medication carts in an accurate and timely fashion.
Fills IV medication bins when low and add-vantaging on a daily basis.
Fills all PYXIS and regular floor stock on a daily basis to all units/departments requesting.
Appropriately checks in and stocks all Cardinal (Wholesaler) orders as well as various other vendors.
Replenishes expired Emergency Boxes.
Assists in the training of all new Pharmacy Technicians.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1-2 years hospital and/or retail experience
CREDENTIALS QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Pharmacy Technician from an accredited course required
Registered Pharmacy Technician within the state of NJ required
Salary : $17 - $19
