Pharmacy Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and Dispensing Medications: Accurately fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, including counting, measuring, and compounding medications.
- Inventory Management: Replenish stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure medications and supplies are adequately stocked and organized.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with their questions and concerns, provide information on over-the-counter medications, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Insurance Coordination: Process insurance claims, handle billing inquiries, and resolve issues related to coverage and payment discrepancies.
- Compliance: Adhere to all legal regulations and company policies regarding pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and patient privacy.
- Technical Support: Utilize pharmacy information systems to manage patient data, prescription processing, and record keeping.
- Maintaining the Pharmacy: Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and the pharmacy to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Communication: Answer and forward calls, take messages, and ensure effective communication within the pharmacy team and with customers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a licensed pharmacy technician
- Can work 2 Saturdays each month
We Offer:
- $16-$18 per hour, based on experience.
