Position: 12 Month Student Services Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
The School Administrative Assistant performs a variety of duties in support of the operation of the school in support of the Principal and other staff, students, parents and the public.

Position: 12 Month Student Services Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Director of Student Services
Job Summary:
The School Administrative Assistant performs a variety of duties in support of the operation of the school in support of the Principal and other staff, students, parents and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- 12 month Unit D Administrative Assistant for Student Services-Duties include but are not limited to:
- Transportation for IEP students, those in foster care, and McKinney Vento
- Financial items (requisition forms, purchase orders)
- Forecast budgets
- Circuit Breaker
- School choice for special education
- Data verification of October 1st and March 1st reports
- Preschool process and lottery
- Upload budget to Budget Sense
- Send communications to parents via Aspen
- Complete contracts for ESY services
- Upload Indicators and other DESE required reports
- Monitor budget, encumbrances
- Place orders for expenses in department
- Work with financial department in the daily budget process
- Edit and/or create letters, forms, etc.
- Complete contracts for Out of District placements, Home Hospital, contracted service providers
- Create and run reports from eSped
- Service delivery reports
- Schedule interviews for Coordinators
- Daily function of office such as mail, parent survey, payroll, timesheet collection/data verification of office staff, order office supplies
Evaluation Criteria:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Hudson School Committee's policy on evaluation or in accordance with union contract.
Work Year:
- 12 months, 261 days, 7.5 hours/day
- Class D of Administrative Assistants Union
- 3 personal days, 12 sick days, 10 vacation days prorated pursuant to date of hire
- Benefit Eligible on start date. 30 days to enroll in coverage from start date.
