JOB TITLE:  Therapy Practice Receptionist
CLASSIFICATION: Temporary to Permanent

REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Services
POSITION OVERVIEW: Hudson Guild Counseling Services is a compassionate, client-centered therapy practice dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of our community. We are seeking a warm, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team and serve as the first point of contact for our patients.Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, the receptionist will provide front desk support for the practice, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, efficient scheduling, and smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires discretion, empathy, and the ability to manage sensitive information in a professional manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Previous experience in a healthcare, counseling, or customer service setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, empathetic demeanor.
• Proficiency with scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage time effectively.
• Understanding of client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPECTED HOURS/TYPICAL SHIFT:
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical office environment that requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing & reaching. Occasional stooping, crouching, and kneeling. Travel between multiple sites consisting of school, office, and community center environments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires constant communication with participants and co-workers and exchange accurate information in these situations. Frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as phone and copy machines. Frequently stationary for long periods.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
