Hudson Falls CSD is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and student-centered Secondary Special Education Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities while collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success in an inclusive learning environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide specialized instruction to students with a variety of learning, emotional, behavioral, and physical needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Conduct assessments and use data to guide instructional decisions.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and faculty meetings.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications
- Valid New York State certification in Special Education
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and New York State special education regulations.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
