Hudson Engineering is a privately held firm located in Jersey City, and Bayonne New Jersey. Our motto is to always stay technical, and we are at our best when put in situations requiring advanced Engineering skills to solve. Hudson Engineering also strives to be efficient at day-to-day engineering tasks and project management and utilizes BIM systems to achieve this goal. Our technical skills and use of modern Engineering tools allow us to collaborate on multiple large and small projects with different entities, and has given us an edge on completing our designs on time and on target.

The Role
Hudson Engineering is looking for a highly motivated and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who does not need constant management, takes initiative, and can work as a team. This role will be responsible for supporting a range of administrative needs. The Office Administrator will report directly to our Principal Engineer and will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment alongside our engineers, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and keep track of Principal's Engineer schedule.
  • Print and bind reports and drawings.
  • Assist with project management and execution.
  • Pick up phone calls and assign them as needed.
  • Liaise with IT and Accounting staff.
  • Ability to work in-office: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Remote work may be considered if the candidate has 5 years’ background/experience with previous engineering firms.
  • Entering and sending Invoices

Required Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proactive self-motivated
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to pivot with changing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office products and Outlook calendar
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and organization skills
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering environment would be a strong asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.22 - $23.15 per hour
