What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer position at Hudson Awning?
About the Role
The installer will work on a variety of projects including fixed canopies, metal frames, hanger-rod canopies, retractables, commercial shade structures, vestibules, and more. This role includes on-site installation, measurements, layout, and occasional shop prep.
Responsibilities
- Install awnings, canopies, support brackets, and related hardware
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Read and follow drawings, measurements, and job specifications
- Work both independently and as part of a crew
- Communicate professionally with clients and project managers
- Ensure installations meet Hudson Awning’s quality and safety standards
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and maintaining a clean work vehicle
Requirements
- Experience installing awnings, canopies, construction, or similar trades preferred
- Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Basic knowledge of tools and hardware
- (Optional if you want to include) Ability to drive a box truck is a plus
