Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring all orders are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their meal, ensuring timely service and addressing any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods, assisting with food preparation as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring every guest feels valued and appreciated.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is an asset.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately; cash handling experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices within the food service industry is essential.
