Medical Assistant

Location: MemorialCare, Newport Beach, CA

Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

Duration: 8-12 weeks

Positions Available: 1

Responsibilities:

    • Assist in breast surgical oncology practice as a medical assistant & scribe

    • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations)

    • Document patient history, medications, and allergies

    • Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests

    • Perform telephone triage and follow-up calls

    • Room patients and review lab test results

Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant

    • Experience in Oncology/Surgical Breast Oncology required

    • Local candidates only (must live within 50 miles)

    • First-time travelers NOT accepted

Compensation & Benefits:

    • Pay Rate: Based on experience (Local candidates receive local rates)

    • Base Pay Rate: $23.00/hr

    • Holiday Pay: Applies to major holidays

Additional Details:

    • Scrubs: Provided

    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

    • Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

    • RTO (Requested Time Off): Must be pre-approved and submitted at the time of application
