A Day In The Life
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material, or other written instructions or procedures.
- Perform heavy manual labor required to manipulate and adjust materials.
- Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
- Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
- Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and keep the work area neat and clean.
- Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must wear safety equipment, i.e. safety glasses, work boots, protective gloves, and ear plugs where required.
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds – Maximum lifting policy is 35 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually to conduct product completion.
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, i.e. wrenches, gages, bolts.
- Perform repetitive tasks, ability to stand, sit, stoop, reach above the shoulders.
- Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together accurately.
- Have the stamina to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to use crane or electric pallet (Hubbell provides crane certification).
