About Us:
HUB Veterinary Group is a newly established private practice located in Port Chester, NY, offering both General Practice and Urgent Care services. As a hybrid hospital, we are committed to raising the standard of veterinary medicine while providing exceptional service to our clients and compassionate care to their beloved pets.
We are currently seeking Part-Time Veterinary Assistants to join our growing team. Whether you are experienced or just beginning your journey in veterinary medicine, we welcome you to apply!
Please Note: This is NOT a seasonal or summer-only position.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting veterinarians and licensed technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restraining animals during exams and procedures
- Preparing exam rooms and equipment for daily use
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Assisting with diagnostics, including radiographs and lab work
- Administering medications as directed
- Delivering compassionate care and support to patients and their owners
- Maintaining accurate patient records
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Comfortable handling and restraining animals of all sizes and temperaments
Preferred (but not required):
- Prior experience in a veterinary setting
