Delivery Driver and/or Knife Sharpener

This delivery driver position will pay $22/hour after training. We are looking for a hard working individual to work either part time (2 days/ week) or full time (4 days/week) at our knife sharpening business. We will train in all aspects of the business and do not expect any prior experience. Our business sharpens knives to area restaurants and we are looking for someone who can make deliveries of the finished product to area restaurants. There is no heavy lifting or sharpening of the knives required for this position.

We do not require additional sales beyond our existing customers, but there is an opportunity to make a commission on any additional sales that helps grow our business. We are looking for a responsible person to represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner.

We are a family knife sharpening company located in Walpole, MA and are looking for an early riser and someone who has an exellent track record of showing up for the scheduled shift.

The ideal candidate will be open to addional work where needed.

Responsibilities of Delivery Driver

• Deliver knives to different addresses and through different routes
• early day start times
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
• Collect payments
• Complete end of day report with any notes that we need to address before the following visit.
• Follow safety standards
• Communicate with management

Position Requirements for Shop work:

• Must be able to stand in one location for 3 hours at a time.
• Ability to learn to operate 3 separate knife grinding machines.
• Basic operation and maintenance of assigned machinery.
• Perform proper machine start up.
• Perform basic break downs and wash down.
• Follow safety rules.
• Ability to consistently show up on time
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Skills

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Valid professional driver’s license
• Ability to consistently show up on time
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record
• Bi-lingual a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
