Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools efficiently to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and maintaining accurate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and moving furniture or supplies while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and painting when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally, creating a positive environment for staff and visitors.
Requirements
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks while practicing safe lifting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail in sanitation practices and facility maintenance routines.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
