The hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and replenishing supplies in high-traffic areas.
- Operate custodial equipment.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during manual handling and heavy lifting activities to prevent injuries.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repair needs or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, floor care techniques, and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
- Experience with chemical agent handling safety procedures ensures safe operation of cleaning products.
- Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in custodial tasks.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting politely with staff and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
